"Beer Can" Skins
« on: April 09, 2004, 10:33:33 AM »
Hi all:
I for one hope that what I call "beer can" skins are not going to be allowed to junk up Aces High II. You know, the non-historical garish garbage put out by 14-year olds that they think are "cool" because of the bright orange color and pictures of Britney in place of roundels.
Cheers,
Solo

Solo, had you read some threads posted before you would know that ALL skins in AH2 have to be approved by HTC's staff and all skins will have to be historical, there will be no barbiefire skins (as much as I'd want to see it in ) in the arenas. Those fun skins are mrely for entertaining purpose in offline mode.

On a side note, there is no reason to try and humiliate the people who have made these skins and there is no reason to call the skins garbage, bad manners. I think they all desirve an appology.

I for one think that skin is great.  Although Richard Simmons is my idol, I wouldn't want to see it in a historical scenerio... unless that scenerio was sweatin' to the oldies :)

Dood, those skins are a joke, intended to add some humor (you do know what humor is right?) to this forum. I believe you are the only one that thinks those skins were seriously submitted for use in AH2. Relax, its all in good fun.

"Doods:"
I stand by my comment - these kind of skins aren't "humorous," are garbage and have no place in this game. But then, it's only my opinion.
However, Octavius' avatar is very funny.....

They are humorous, they aren't garbage, and they have no place in the game.  How's that?

Speaking of beer can skins, we need a couple planes skinned as our favorite beverages.

F4F's would make excellent Labatt cans.

Solomo, read the information about submitting skins to us.  We categorically state they must be historically accurate (within the limitations of the provided art).

Just because you do not like something does not give you the right to bash someone else's work or effort.  If you want to make postitive contributions to Aces High II, then please do so.

As an enthusiastic amateuer skinner myself, I certainly don't think eskimo's work is garbage.

If you got any problems with those skins, please, don't let us know.

I know how much effort it takes to skin something - be it humorous or historical.

Im 14....... I play this game not for the junk you facist conseritive addicts throw at people my age. I play this game for the immersion of fighting in the great war my grandfather risked his life to fight... on second thought those skins are funny but not for serious play...... so get it strait.. your comment offended me solomo
