880 rolled 3 flights of Ki-67s with torps. WoD found some Cruisers so we attacked. Sunk 1.  Didnt see any CAP. Rtd'b to A7. Shot up but alive.

Sunday Squad Ops - April 11th
Decoy near Luzon Frame 2
AAR - Lentolaivue 32

We took off from A12 (6 N1K2's and 2 Ki-61's) and headed E towards our fleets in sectors 13,17 - 14,18. Our mission was to CAP near the fleets. Before we reached our designated patrol area (after about 30 mins), the fleets started blinking so we headed straight towards the fleets.

When we got to our fleet we saw F6F's attacking the ships and engaged the enemies. Our squadron was split in two flights, one with 4 Nikis and the other with 2 Ki's and 2 Nikis. In the first engagement we lost 2 Nikis but shot down some enemies too.

After the fight we started returning to the CV groups, just in time, since the next strike group was already there (F4U's and TBM's). We got into fighting and lost the 2 Ki's and 1 Niki, but got some enemies again.

After that we had 45 mins remaining so we decided to head home for A12. 3 out of our 8 planes landed, got 5 kills.

Was a fun frame again (but the flights to CAP area and back home were a bit boring..),

AAR Squad-OP Sunday 11.4
Squadvid was RL for the Vikings and had all the info on this mission. After he gott problems with his joystick he had to logg off and I tok the RL spot since no other stept forward.

I gott us in formation and sent Easy to scout 15.10 and Oddbyt in sector 14.11. After no reports on enemy in these sectors they started to look in nearby sectors and Oddbyte found enemy group in 15.11-9 I think it was. We informed Ramzy who was RL for torpedo group and we headed to the taget. After Easy and Selector who also got scout duty IB the 15.11.9 area they spotted a 2 force in 15.11.3 I think we now had 2 groups. But it founds out that it was no CV in non off the group. And since I had to take over RL from Squadvid I had no idea what our target was beside escort and cap for enemy in sector 14.11 and 15.10. So there was some back and forword to try get info on we should take out the enemy group we found, but we gott no replay on that. And I also tryed to get in contact with the frame CO to get clear orders for what is our target, but since he was bz fighting we had to wait for his orders. When we gott his confirm on target we simpely gott CAP sector 14.11 and 15.10 by one off his squadmates and therefor could not ask him to get more detailed orders on if we should take out the group we found. We then started to communicate on the green channel.
Easykill snapped on green channel that enemy TG with CV was between P-34 and P-36. So I gave orders to IB this sector. Then we got Orders from Tilt to a sector. Then we gott orders from one to take out the enemy Group we found first in 15.11-6

After I had no more information on this SO as a CO/RL and had to take it over from Squadvid 5 min after we tok off, I did my best to lead us to the target. But as you guys read above , that was shown to be a bit hard.

Upped with just 3 WoD in 61's from 8 heading as escort for 880 who were in 67's.

Mission was to find and sink fleet in 14.10/15.11.

We went below cloud at 12.11.5 and this extended to 14.11 where we split to a search formation across 14.11.........nada

came out from under cloud at 14.11.2/5/8 and continued search East.

At 15.11.3 we found selector and a fleet with 3 big ships which later turned out to be cruisers .........have to admit I called them as CV's. It was  holding a steady northerly direction.

We buzzed around in the ack for a while and eventually directed the 880 67'sonto the fleet who hit it from the NE sinking one cruiser.

We then searched 15.10 and then 14.10 and then rtb with 30 mins or so to spare.

Was unfortunate that 4 squads were in an area where there was no enemy ac.

9GIAP upped from C35 in a mix of F4U and TBMs.
Lost one to RL soon after take off.
We climbed NE to 17,17 then turned to hit target CV group in 13,18.
We reach the final CV and proceeded to sink it.
Lost TBMs during or just after CV attack.
Finally ordered F4Us to go have some fun.
