We were taught to respect American democracy, your culture, your achevements in humanitarian field (getting rid of racial segregation in a matter of years), all despite of our official propaganda. I am 31 now, I have seen Soviet power in the end of it's most glorious times, and believe me, I can compare what we have now and what we had before. I have been to the US when I was in school.
