I'm not being funny. The guy decided not to heed the advice of the FBI and now he's dead. You can bet that they're all sitting around the station house, sipping on coffee and shaking their heads all the while saying things like, "Stupid bastard, we told him."

You can't save the ones that are too foolish to heed good advice.

What happened to this guy IS tragic, horrific.

Why was this guy in Iraq after being advised to leave? Apparently he didn't have a job. I don't believe he was there for charity but was looking for work.

Certainly this guy didn't deserve to die.

TX, if you read a sign that says "Minefield" and you still proceed... aren't you at least a little responsible if you get your foot blown off?

What happened to this guy was an outrage, totally and completely an outrage.

However, who in their right mind would go to Iraq and travel around alone? The guy was warned to get out and offered a free plane ride home. Kind of reminds me of the guy that tried to live with the Brown bears in Alaska..... end result was the same.

That doesn't condone his killing in any way, but he knowingly himself put his life great in danger.

True but I still see no need of speaking poorly of the dead no matter how many bad choices the guy made.

I am not saying that the guy did not make a bad choice.
What I am saying Is there is no reason to call a dead man names.

Did he mess up you bet I am sure that thought crossed his mind a few times as he sat in that chair.

Maybe It's my generation or something but I will never speak poorly of the dead.

It Is just in very bad taste and shows a total lack of maturity.

Hey Steve, I just scrolled up and realized you had made almost exactly the same point that I tried to make.

And it's so true. "Don't feed the bears" means nothing to the idiots that insist they know better.

Why do people make fun of people for the "Darwin Awards" ? It's because they feel that those people put themselves in the situation at their own will and paid a predictable price.

Why is this person not regarded as a "Darwin award" type?

The fact is that it's an absolute horror that people could treat another human this way. No excuse for it, no justification. However, since when did a rational person think they could travekl around alone in Iraq?

Hell, I wouldn't travel around many areas of L.A. alone

the news report everyone seems to be refering to says differently. thats all I was pointing out. Just quoting off the news report itself. still dont see where he was looking for work
since its been stated that he had just recently been working on a tower that was close to the prison.

They are not fat? Look at the two on the right, they have John Belushi bodies, it's pathetic. I would bet my last dollar they are saudi.
