I like it!  Haven't shot it yet, but will in the next few days.

sweet.    .41mag is my favorite wheel-gun caliber.

Nice...

finding .41 mag rounds can be a pain, nice to shoot though.

true, they can be a bit hard to find.  a good caliber to "roll your own" in.

nice gun.  I don't like the 41 simply because I have so many revolvers in 44 mag and I don't want the hassle of getting ammo and brass and slugs mixed up but it is a good caliber.

I just bought a Smith 340 pd.. fits in the palm of your hand and is in .357 mag... but get this... it weighs 12 oz!   It is also totaly enclosed hammer for double action onlyh but you could fire the thing while it is in your pocket if you had to.   Lightest .357 available.  Titanium and scandium.

not as pretty as wood grips but much more functional.  as something to be carrying pretty isn't exactly a prime concern.

check out a Ruger Vaquero if you want to see pretty.  case-hardened finish and rosewood grips.  grips also available in mother-of-pearl I believe, they are a little over-the top for flashiness, IMO.

I had one in .45LC a few years back. nice to look at and was a wonderful well balanced piece.  ran a little low on cash and had to raffle it off though.  been thinking about getting another soon though.

Hmm yeah I guess "functional looking" would describe it pretty well.

Medicboy, very nice gun!  A thought would be to have a gunsmith round off that hammer.  You wouldn't be able to shoot it single action very easy, but it would make it easier to carry concealed b/c it wouldn't catch on clothing.

My main carry weapon is a 638 Smith with the hammer shroud.  It really simplifies drawing the pistol.

dune... my 340 pd is pretty much like that but a lot lighter and in .357 mag.

I like good looking grips..  I like wood and ivory and I have stag grips on my sawed off Ruger redhawk in 44 mag..  I don't like the way the soft rubber catches on stuff and you can't get a good regrip.   It also gets too warm in the hand for me.

I like smooth grips or checkered.  The best of both worlds is the stag grips for the 44.  smooth and cool but with stag lines in the palm area.   Have Ivory for the Blackhawk but it is not very durable.  My Kimber is good with plastic checkered grips and fine line metal checkering on the front and backstrap (30 lpi front, 20lpi back).
