Approval ratings and 2nd terms

Apparently one needs an approval rating of 52% or better to win a second term as President - or at least that has been the case since 1948.

Anyone need a hanky?

Saw that on CNN yesterday, the only ones that had a rating above 50% for a 2nd ammendment were Nixon, Reagan...and surprise Clinton.

Where's GWB at? 42% ? Just like Dad is it? :D

The thing is, Bush didn't even need the popular vote to be pres... so all bets are off on historical data.

It will take just 1 terror attack on US soil to turn that 42% frown upside down. Toby Kieth will be able to profit from more death, and we will get more dates to nevar forget.
