Downloading Updates

Ive downloaded AH2 updates and it still wont let me get into ah2.  It makes me re-download the updates each time i try, to get into AH2.

Does anyone know what is wrong??????

Firewall? if useing Zone alarm it will not show after an update. It will not let into game hit the Y for yes and will let you in and next time u go in it will show and check mark to let you always in. Hope that helps if u useing Zone alarm...

I dont have zone alarm.  Is there any thing else that could be effecting it?

Silly question, Teebone (or maybe not)... but after downloading the patch/update, are you running it? The master AH2 program does not get updated until you execute the patch by launching the patch icon.

The downloading and the patching are 2 separate steps.

Hold on, Teebone... I just had a brainstorm.

Your Dad sent you the Base Install of AH2 on a CD, didn't he? Try this:

Right click on the AH2 program icon (not the shortcut) and get Properties.

Make sure that "Read-only" is not enabled. This effectively locks the file and prevents changes (or updates). Sometimes files that are copied from CDs... which are read-only... retain the same read-only setting.

Betcha 20 bucks it works. :D


Hmmm... one more thought: you may be trying to update a much older version. For example, Patch 35 won't work on Version 31. Check the numbers.
