So where's the coastal artillery?
« on: June 02, 2001, 05:00:00 AM »
Now that we are On The Map That Sucks Due To CV Dweebery, what fields have coastal artillery?

I saw some on the old map, where it is almost not needed, but on this one I have yet to fly by any.

This map is not very enjoyable to me - all the fighting take place right next to a field or a cv and it's all about ack hugging. I prefer the fights in between fields where there's no ack to run to, for both sides.

To each his own.

I personally don't like this map either, but hopefully we'll be getting new terrains soon!    The more the merrier!

Actually I don't like either of em. And please don't bring back the beta map. Time to try some of the community's maps. I've seen some great ones.

Yesterday, there was the usual Cv attacking A28. I was surprised to see no battery there and the fleet a couple of miles off shore.

I'm sure that HTC knows what fields are frequently attacked by CVs. They probably didn't had time to put batteries all other yet. HTC has only a limited number of hands you know

I suppose they should re-edit the map to add the bateries. Anyway, I agree, this map is even more boring than the previous one.

And here is my opinion about actual map filosophy, trying to make maps "simetrical" to give same oportunities to all the countries. Well, the last time I entered and encountered an even situation is lost in time, so, I suppose the players are used to get into the game and find a good or a bad situation respect other countries. If that is so, why not to have real maps? Like central Europ, far east, mediterranean, etc.

Oh man, we are back to this map.  New planes, old maps.  C'mon...if I wanted to play the same ole thing all the time, I'd plug in the Atari and whiz around with Pong

I'm sorry, I'd truly hoped for better.  Same 2 maps since January (or before?)

I think the batteries may only be on the home island i know there are two each at A11 and A12.

You guys should consider yourselves lucky we have 2 maps, about 6 ever since Beta...

In WB we had the same map up until the Mediterranean map was put in the MA... and that thing was downright awful for field capture, but was awesome for furballs.
