Yeah, I believe USAAF 7th Photo Group(Not sure) fly Lockheed F-5C Lighting and F-5C carries invasion stripes on the lower half of booms and wings in the latterr half of the 1944. Though the stripes were supposed to keep Allied gunners from firing at friendly aircraft, the paint didn't seem to stop it, much to the frustration of photo pilots who often had to drop down low over enemy lines to get their pictures.
My guess that P-38J and F-5 Photo Recon see the action on D-Day and I ain't too sure that L model did see the action on D-Day.
