"Host connection lost" on destruction of objects
« on: June 05, 2004, 02:50:59 PM »
I tend to get a "Host connection lost" message and then CTD upon destroying objects in AHII.  It happens on ground targets and air targets.

The ground target was some object in the city, and it happened as the rockets hit.  The air target was a P-47D-11.  It seems that the "destroy object" event is what causes it, because I see hit sprites on objects fine, but when something is supposed to explode, it happens.

I have been able to shoot off parts of planes with no ill effect.

This has been happening since version 30, though I hadn't flown AH2 online since last fall.

Here are my system specs:

AthlonXP 1800+ CPU
1GB RAM
ATI Radeon 9600 SE 128MB
SoundBlaster Live PCI512
Windows XP Professional SP1a, US English Localization
Up-to-date on all OS hotfixes (as of 6-2-04 per Windows Update)
DirectX90b with latest update (as of 6-2-04 per Windows Update)
Sound drivers are OS versions
Video drivers are Catalyst 8.01 (6.14.10.6444)
Screen resolution 1280x1024
