Jameson Whiskey
« on: June 09, 2004, 08:12:07 PM »
Since my Warsteiner post turned out about as I expected, I thought I'd post this:

Unlike my fav cheap euro beer, this one seems to be something of a hit across the pond...or at least somewhat proliferated. It's very smooth and great for sipping with a cube or two of ice.

GACK!!!  Unwashed heathen!!!

Drink it straight.  With either spring water or (if you live in Arizona) an ice cube or two.

Also, all fine alcohol, such as Jamesons, Appleton Estate, Patron Anejo and Blanton's should be drunk in only fine Polish crystal or in a steel camp cup around a fire.

12 year old JJ is about the best of the Irish whiskies that don't cost an arm, leg and internal body part.

Good stuff.
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!

the only way I've ever been able to drink coffee is to 'water it down' with Jameson.

Jameson is good stuff, really smooth and quite different to Scottish whiskys. If you like Jameson, you should also try Bushmills, which is another popular Irish Whiskey.

Jameson is good, and priced at only half of some of the leading Scotch whiskies. But that Oban you bought me in Victoria the other week takes some beating! :aok I've looked out for it since but haven't found it yet.
