WTF?

Took off with some other Knights on a base capture tonight,I`m in a P51 with 250lb bombs loaded-another flyer has a hvy Spitfire. Even after achieving our attack run altitude and in auto level flight/wepping the Spitfire is pulling away from my 51 rapidly,is this correct? I thought the 51 was faster than the Spitfire.

Indian is probably right...the bigger bombload/anchors you were hauling around probably caused the Spitfire to outrace you.

Even with that though, I beleave the Spitfire is a better fighter in all cases but one...

...the spit has the edge in mock dogfights with Mustangs, but those Spits are always no-shows when challenged over Berlin.

Thats what the Mustang is excelent for.  Its range.
