This is part of the reason why I left the teaching profession. As you people so ably demonstrate, once a teacher is accused of a crime, she/he is guilty and her/his life and career are over.

No matter that she has not been convicted of anything. Even if she is aquitted, and is 100% innocent....she is, if you'll excuse the pun, f*cked.

Mickey, I thought it was politik to allow a jury to decide guilt or innocence?

Maybe I'm just old fashioned, though.  You continue to prove to me that I made the right decision to leave teaching so many years ago. A teacher in America is as good as guilty as soon as they are accused. Even if they are innocent.

There was a jr. high school teacher when I was in jr. high that was real flirty with many of the boys, hmmmmm.  the possibility never occurred to me though.
