I got FS Autostart. I don't quite understand it. Do you just select which processes you want to stop and restart, click "start" then go and play a game, any game? The readme file was a bit hazy. Do you have to attach to a game file?
Aloha,
http://www.fs-gs.com/downloads.htm Here's the little I know bout setting up this app.
1.Launch the app
2.Click on Services- I checked the box to show only running services. As you move your cursor over various Services, an explanation/recommendation shows in the box to the right. Click on a service you want to shut down under the action column and a drop down box pops up. Choose "Stop and Restart". Don't worry bout shutting down something critical because it is only temporary and will be back the way it was if you reboot. Click Save.
3.Click on Programs and do the same as in 2.
4.Click on Configure. Click the Browse button next to the top box and follow the tree to your AH folder ending with "aceshigh.exe" which is the icon used to launch AH. I set delay before start other to 5 seconds, checked defrag memory box, and set "number of seconds to wait before..." to 3 seconds. Click Save.
5.You are finished-click start to let it all happen.
Everything you chose will shut down and AH will launch. You will be able to ALT TAB out but may not be able to do much depending on what you shut down. If you quit AH, CTD or ALT F4; everything you shut down will restart and you will be back where you started. There is a way to save profiles or launch with a command line so you can use this for more than one game, but I haven't figured it out , yet. Maybe someone with more computer smarts than me can help that.
