few updates on the med. league
« on: October 09, 2000, 04:54:00 PM »
Hi guys,

OK the time for tomorrow's dry runwill be 7:30 to 9:30 CST, its the best we can do for euros and west coast (5:30 PM on the W.C.)

a little time conflict has arisen in that it is diffivult to find a compromise time when both euros and west coasters can fly at the same time on tuesdays. Originally i had 9-11 PM CST, but how big a problem for you west coasters would it be if we moved it to 7-9 or 7:30-9:30? I just wanna get the best compromise that is best for everyone.

also, tomorrow is gonna be another "dry run", Hopefully this time we can stick to the ROE at http://www.iit.edu/~buonmic/med.htm  and see how they work in practice before they get made official, there might be tweaks necessary so I wanna see how it goes bbefore it "counts".

And lastly, get your friends to sign up, we still have alot of bomber and allied slpots open, so start recruiting

hiya Zig:

7:30 to 9:30 is ok for me, but no sooner then that. I know it is hard to set something up that works for all, but with all the differant times, it just won't happen.

Good hunting my friends, the tuesday-time is so unfriendly for us Euro-fliers. Cya on Saturday
"And one of the finest aircraft I ever flew was the Macchi C.205. Oh, beautiful. And here you had the perfect combination of italian styling and german engineering .... it really was a delight to fly ... and we did tests on it and were most impressed." - Captain Eric Brown

1930 CST is 0230 in Spain. I don't think I'll make it.

Cheers,

Pepino.

7:30 CST is about an hour too early for me (west coast).

I doubt this time even would suit the Euros (too late). I'm not sure you can make a compromise 'tween the 2 groups on a week night.

Seperate nights where the times suited each group well, plus some day on the weekend where it suited both would be my suggestion.

Not that I wanna make myself too smart on the US timezones, but aren't CST 2 hours from the west coast, with the mountain time in between?
Anyway the change of times means I actually think I can participate in this event, but, ironically, most likely only on the tuesday as the Euro "friendly" time saturday is not so friendly into my schedule.

Zigrat,
For some reason I thought the 7:30 time was PST, so I have to step down from FL for P47's.  My apologies.
