I still love the la5. It's all I fly.

50 kills, 9 deaths in 1.05

I've learned how to land the la5 and refuel it on a CV. Which is nice.

Was driving the Yak from Day one when no one else was flying it. The Hardest Easiest plane to fly... Anyway, I'm on strike till AH puts more VVS planes in. Would like to see the Yak-3 and LA-7 as well as the Sturm, so until they arrive I'm gonna tool around with IL-2 when it hits the street..

According to the way Pyro has been modeling VVS aircraft ("production" test data), the Yak-3 should outperform our Yak-9U slighty, and be a much smaller target.

Leonid, I keep on after Pyro to put the x3 B-20mm Yak-9UT in as an armament option, but I think he wants to do it as an entirely seperate aircraft (the UT). But yah, the La-7 with 3 cannons will be a great aircraft.

I have definitely become a convert to VVS aircraft.

The Yak3 with 107 engine, otehrwise known as the Yak3-3 never made it into service before war's end. Yeah yeah I know, some Yak3's were retrofitted with the 107 engine but not sure HT will model a plane that was retrofitted when so many other projects need to be completed first.

The Yak3 that did make it had less performance than the Yak9u.  The La7 on the other hand was awesome with a deck speed of 380mph!
