two planes drop my Frame Rate to single digit (5-9) when closer than 800 yds. In the air as well as In the HANGAR !! The P38 and the JU88.
I get FRs of 25-35 all the time, even in huge furballs, but let a p38 get in my view and splat!! FR drops to 6.
There is something wierd about the graphic rendering of these two models unlike all others (I've tested every plane in the game).
I only have default skins installed and I've turned off all external sounds.
My vidboard is low end (Radeon 7000 64MB) but works fine for everything but these two planes. A $300 vidboard may solve the prob, but.......
THAT IS AN UNACCEPTABLE ACCOMODATION OF AN EGREGIOUS ANOMOLY. C'mon u code weenies look at this as a challenge and give me a practical reason for this problem.
I would venture a guess that it starts with an eyecandy engineer getting carried away !! )
