Setting trim to a rotary
« on: August 18, 2004, 07:21:36 PM »
I have a Cougar setup and I mapped my elevator and aileron trim to my Ant and Rng rotaries but when I move the wheel to a setting I want the trim keeps going until it maxes out.   It's all or nothing and it doesn't make any sense.    Did I do something wrong here?

and ask your question ... they provide great help there ... especially a guy named ... DonULFonso ... he is a Cougar wizard.

in the game the trim is "real time" meaning where the rotary is at is where the trim goes.

IE:
rotary in dead center trim in center, rotary at 80% up, the trim is 80% up.

in the game you need to "activate" or whatever the rotaries in calibration, just like the axis on your stick / rudder / throttle. treat them like a mini throttle, and go through a full calibration.

that sould fix the problem.

thinking,,,, another possibility is in AH 1 to use a rotary you have to have it "banded" or something, and map an actual keystroke (I or K for elevator) to each part of the band. if you set your stick up like that, and have combat trim off in AHII (and didnt un-map that from your stick) that is another possibility.

hope that helps.
I don't know what to put here yet.

calibrate your rotors just like you do your stick - spin them through full movement
