Webpage Update
« on: June 07, 2001, 11:42:00 PM »
I've updated my webpage with some films from the 2 vs 2 event. Also is you look closely at the opening page you will find a secret area. I use to keep this stuff secret for my squad buddies but i guess it is about time to let everyone see it. You can find the web addres for the page in the User info for this bbs.

LOL, give us a chance  :) Man that simulator you built looks great! Can you tell about your modification on the Joystick? How does the long throw on it now feel to you compared to the stock set? And did you modify the springs while doing it, if so how? Great pictures Robert, I am waiting for the text description for all the good details. Ohhh and were you working from plans or by eye?  And last but not least, you bringing that baby to the Con???

Hiya jimbear
well i posted back because sometime i wonder if i fit in with this group are not. never the less here are the answer to your questions. OHHH one question for you....did you find the secret part on the page that takes you to the acm and strat stuff?

Can you tell about your modification on the Joystick?
THe joystick is a saitek x36 that i won at the con last year. just extended the handle part with a pipe and ran the wires through.

How does the long throw on it now feel to you compared to the stock set?

THe throw is great i even think that i get finner control with this setup than before.

And did you modify the springs while doing it, if so how?

THE springs in the stick weren't strong enough so i added 2 spring to the outer part of the base that are held with a pipe clamp.

Ohhh and were you working from plans or by eye?

THe plans were draw on a piece of paper and taking from what sac1 told me just build around the seat.

And last but not least, you bringing that baby to the Con???
I'm going to be at the con this year but i hope the con room is on the 1st floor rather than the 2nd like last year cause this baby comes in at about 140pnds    :D

I like it  :)  Great shot of you to boot  :D

I've added it to my list of AH sites. Those films will make a good training resource!

As for the simulator? fediddleing nice! I notice in one shot you've got flowers for Mrs RWY standing by for when she comes home and sees the mess on that living room rug you made.

I haven't looked at your page again yet, but I will...haven't had time.  But I've seen it before, and I liked it - the cockpit looks awesome!   :)
