Maxing texture load into vidcard
« on: August 02, 2004, 12:42:29 PM »
I have an Nvidia 5900 Ultra with 256k; however, the most that seems to get used on it is 130k.

I remember seeing a setting somewhere (either in the bios, operating system, ie. Win 98SE, or application) - can't remember where - that allowed you to set what size of textures was loaded into memory.

Can't find it now.  Anyone know what I'm rabbiting on about?

Thanks
Moochie

P.S.  On a different subject, my eDimensional 3d glasses sometimes flip inside out (the view, that is).  What causes that?

The texture size is in the video setup screen, along with the preload options (Press "Video" on the clipboard, after starting the game.).

I have no idea what those glasses are.  You might ask the manufacturer about that one.

Thanks for the answer Skuzzy.

However, I am not talking about the 1024 512 etc. texture load.  There is a setting somewhere else where you select in kb size.  Can't remember where it was.  Might be something to do with my vidcard setup.

Thanks anyway.

Might be in the video card control panel, but is not in the game.
