Closed my account today

Today, with a heavy heart, I closed my Aces High account.  I have just not been interested in playing for the last few months and have come to the decision that I will probably not be back up any time soon.

Its been great!

To Dale and the rest of the HTC crew,  Thanx a bunch!

Check Six!

Take care Terror
My password at work had to contain exactly 8 characters… I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

when you close your account do you lose your name etc?

im thinking of taking a month or so off soon from AHII, and coming back "fresh". If i close my account, do i lose everything?

Sorry to see you go, Terror.     Fair skies and tail winds.

Overlag, you can expect to lose your handle and perk points if you close your account, so for only a month off it may not be worth it if you like your handle.    Sometimes HTC will allow a returning player to get their old handle bakc but I'm not sure about the particulars.

Farewell, and thanks for not trying to make a political statement with your exit as so many have done lately.

Hope you find happiness sir!

Yes...if you cancle your subscription you lose your ID.
Skuzzy can reset it for you...But you will lose all your Perk Points . Everything goes back to ZERO when an ID is cleared and reset.

i dont want it reset though, i simply want to "pause" it

maybe HTC should have this service.... at a small fee or something?

hell i did a free trial in 2001 or 2002, and got emailed in 2003 about that 2 week retrial, and my name/rank and stats still showed from my first trial.. (even though i wouldnt really want that.......nothing good about having 200 deaths and no kills..........LOL)

heh, is 15 bucks or even 30 really that much money in the bigger picture? :)

I thougth about quiting when AH2 first came out. I was already just about as burnt out as one could be going in from AH1. I just didnt log in for a few months. And when I came back, I not only sucked like the n00b of n00bs but I had a renewed drive to learn a basicly new game. Hell, I didnt even know where the barracks where on a base after two weeks or so of playing AH2. :D

Really you can't get a much smaller "fee" than 15 bucks a month.

And you'll be helping to keep HTC alive in the process. :)

$14 is like £7-8 (thank you Bush lol) so it doesnt really matter TOO much, but why pay for something if your not using it?
