his example show a paritial word as good enough

edit: one 2nd glance, maybe you are right - I broke the rule earlier if that is the case

no that example wouldn't work... notice go going 2 variations on the same base word.

personally I would put starman and stardog as both deritaves of star, and be ok to use....

I would follow your hank with the carpenters jambalaya anyway :p
