Where did you serve for your country?

U.S. Coast Guard  13th District 1979- 83. Spent the most time on USCGC Boutwell as a BM3.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

Gee, how clever. This were everyone is supposed to think your non-stop political posts are all a sudden legit because the nation is forever in your debt for “serving” in the Coast Guard, and Grunz isn’t because he hasn’t been in the military. Terrific.

See, that’s why I called you an ultra melon. Your starting whole new stupid threads to try and get one up on a guy 30 years younger, and you actually believe it will make you look better.

Yep, it's an amazingly self-serving thread camouflaged as some tribute to the men and women who served..

19th SFG(A) <83-87>, 546thmaint (21st TAACOM) <87-91>, Bco 101st FSB 1st ID <91-96>.  Had a good time.... out disabled from GWI, only took em 5 years to do the paper work

But the really wierd one was that my Grandfather was in the same company of the 1st ID in WWI, found his name on the company roster from France in WWI, he had a good war too, 3 months in the trenches, caught the Flu and spent the rest of the war on the French Riviera...........

Good point. But you see, there are gals overseas too. Lots of them.

I had a great time in the Navy. I know that it wasn't as arduous or honerable as working for Boeing, but it was good enough for me and my family.

I don't know or care about RPMs motives. We do this thread about every 18 months or so, kind of like the Voss thread, it's just something we like to rehash.

I was a Russian Linguist, serving on Active duty from 1992-1997 most of that in Misawa Japan, with a bit of Sea time on the USS Bunker Hill (CG-52, the Sword of the Fleet). Was in the Reserves at Radio Receiving Facility, Imperial Beach Califronia from 1997-2000.

I'm strongly considering applying for the JAG program when I graduate from School, but now that I have a family, I'm not sure Navy life would agree with me as much.
