Yeah, so I just got back from a press screening of AVP

And I can say with total certainty - the following:

It is without a doubt, the second worst movie I have ever seen... but so much fun.  

The lines were painful, the actors were worse, and the plot was nothing short of abysmal.

That said - its wildly entertaining.

Sorry - but the Aliens kick the **** out the Preds pound for pound.  A single alien waxes two preds in the first fight scene.

Of course, the last pred nukes the 'hive' and kills all the aliens except for the queen, who comes back and kills the last pred before the human kills her Lt. Ripley style.

If youve seen the movies, there are plenty of little nuances that liken to the other films.

For example, there is a short sequence where Mr. (forgot first name) Bishop Weyland, CEO of Weyland Corp, is seen at his desk shuffing through paperwork - visitor somes in and he takes his letter opener and briefly runs it betwen his fingers a few times ala the andriod version of himself.

Couple other odds and ends.

Go see it if you want to be entertained for 90 minutes.

Ever since I found out the "movie" storyline vs the comic, I knew that ;
a) it was going to suck phenomenally
b) I'd have to see it just to see how bad it could really be.
