This has'nt been brought up for awile. Being able to pull out of a spin by pushing a button seems a tad easy.

OK.. I'll bite.

I haven't gotten an aircraft to spin yet.  Maybe its because I don't push the stall horn past its initial indicators.

That said.. what button do you use to recover?

Yah! It's so odd... a couple of hours before reading udie's post, it occured to me too that I haven't yet gotten into a spin. I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier. I fly mainly spits and nikis, tho I have taken other planes up quite often as well. I usually end up flyin' way beyond the plane's departure limit... and stalls are the most I've had to contend with. Strange.

Btw, I'm moving tomorrow, and will prolly be offline for a few weeks. By then this sim will most likely be out of beta. I had a blast flying with y'all (finest sim community going imho!)- and look forward to rejoining u guys on the other side once I get settled. Thanks HT and crew for the great time. You've won me over.

mmm maybe has something to do with your sticksettings or just you guys being good

In beta 1 I used to spin more then not... but you guys are right haven't been in a spin for a long while... then again... don't want to either

Don't know if this counts... but I use alot of snaprolls when evading cons on 6... isn't that an induced spin?

Just my opinion... please someone try it offline... would not like it if it wasn't easy to get in a spin in a fw for example

Havent had a bad spin in a while, but I guess I am expecting it. Recovery is pretty easy.

I have pushed the F4U too far and been unable to recover in time.  If you want to test the sim's spin model, load a hawg up with gas and go try to TnB it at 3k.  You'll find out fast.    I've eaten it twice since the low-speed modeling on the F4U was fixed, but both times were early on.  I can recover the F4U, but not easily, and not with the power on.

However... i believe TT was speaking of another way to recover.  I'll check it out myself, but I'll bet he's right.  I never think to try that when in trouble.    The fear as you desperatly try to recover your spinning F4U as it plummets toward the ground is just too much fun to take the easy way out. <G>
