router question
« on: September 02, 2004, 07:08:35 AM »
I'm still having problems with vox when I have my nephew and I sharing the DSL connection. When I'm alone, it runs fine and I don't lose vox nor have any problems...

The problems consist of losing vox, receiving and not being able to transmit, and (when we play on different sides) one of us hearing the vox traffic from the enemy team. Sometimes it will correct itself, but most of the time it will not.

I've opened the ports on the router as HTC suggests (2000-5000), is there anything else I can do?

Check the firmware levels of the router.  Some routers do not have a complete NAT implementation which will break VOX when multiple computers are online behind the router.
