It's not the best, but its a helluva lot better than what I had.

Got an Asus A7V8X-X board, with an Athlon 2500+.

Replaced the stock hs/f already. Here is a picture. (I know its messy :) )

Nice work, Estes. Cabling all nice and tidy. :aok

Couple of questions - 1) What video card is that? 2) Did you install the Asus Probe software to go with that board?

Yes, the Athlons run hot, but with a well ventilated case it's not a problem. I have a case like this, but it only has three fans - two in the front ingesting air, and one exhaust fan at the back. Or at least that's the way I've set it up - for crossflow ventilation. The weather is very warm here today (28°), but my CPU is at 51° - no problem. And that's with the stock heatsink/fan. Why did you replace yours?

Vid card is a Radeon 9600. Earlier crappy model, time to upgrade that too.

Replaced the stock Heatsink and fan because it was dead on arrival. Yes, I have the Asus probe. Temps run from 40-47 depending on load.

I haven't had any problems with heat yet. That blue LED fan next to the CPU needs to be replaced. It's a 3 pin connector fan, cord isn't long enough to reach the hooty on this mobo.
