Huhmmm AR234 into perk plane category...

I like the Perk system, I know some people doesnt, but I do.

Seems that ships will be great...And seems too that spotting for artillery will be an option.

New score system, I like that too.

But I have read nothing about fixing Niki's FM <Evil Grin>

Maybe I drop by in 1.05 to take a look...

But you will never know who I am

I have no qualms about the perk system to be honest. I'm not so naive to think I'l rack up enough points in short order to fly a P-47M or a TA-152. BUT! I will take rewvel in great pleasure should I ever shoot a perk ride out from under it's pilots arse   Of that you can bank on

I am drooling with aniticipatoin for the new level of play we get with the naval aspects! And the future us of base acj and anti-tank guns. Big woody here.  CV-CV battles like the Coral Sea, Midway and the Mariannas for example will be fantasticly enriched with these features being added to the fleets.

In fact what I'd really want to see would be a Transport class ship...

With Torpedo carrying Ju88s, CAs, DDs, one CV, a number of TRs and a north sea-norway map there would be a GREAT Murmansk convoy scenario...

Oh, and a german pocket battleship to menace a surface action   ...and a submarineeee!!

[edit]lol Ozark...SURE I WANT THEM FULL OF BEER!!!  [/edit]

Submarine!!!! The Germans had a nice little single man job that could carry 2 torpedos, 1 on each side. I have a pic of it from the Imperial War Museum in London. Will post it if no one else has a pic available. (No scanner, so it will take some effort to get it on-line.)

Type XXIII elektro-boat? or one of the migdet one-man submarines...

The type XXIII was a quite remakable submarine, being quite cramped and non-ocean going, it was quite fast submerged and had a lot of underwater endurance...

Specs of the Type XXIII, from Uboat.net

Displacement:
(tons) 234 (sf)
258 (sm)
275 (total)

Length: (m) 34,68 oa
26,00 ph

Beam: (m) 3,02 oa
3,00 ph

Draught: 3,66 m

Height: 7,70 m

Power: (hp) 630 (sf)
580 (sm)

 Speed:
(knots) 9,7 (sf)
12,5 (sm)

Range:
(miles / knots) 2600/8 (sf)
194/4 (sm)

Torpedoes: 2
2/0 (bow / stern tubes)

Mines: No mines carried

Deck gun: No deck gun

Crew: 14-18 men

Max depth: ca. 180 m
(591 feet)

In fact I'd like a Type VII more...

Rip, its not a request...its a suggerence

"Although we're not doing it initially in 1.05, this system can also be used at any of the regular airfields or bases to put in player-controlled anti-aircraft and anti-tank guns"

Wooooo!  I don't know about anyone else but this sounds like fun to me

Where's 1.06!?!?!?

Sounds like HTC is up to their usual good work.  What I liked the sound of in there was this:

Aside from making it useful to fly less popular planes, we could do things like awarding points to the side that wins the war...

This gives some real incentive to actually finish off a country.  I wonder if it would be possible at some point down the road to award perk points for completing missions effectively?  It might get the mission planner more use.

I think so Ripsnort, I know i'm sitting here thinking, GEE perk planes.. navy.. come 1.06 i'm debating braveing marital finacial strife and puting AH back on my discover card!  Its been a week and a half since i had to cancel, and i'm starting to get the jitters. I do miss AH so much.  On the plus side my joystick arm no longer hurts in the elbow constantly and seems to be healing.
