Hey Yeager, if brainwashing worked on you, it doesn't mean that it will work on others.

Besides, I already believe that there is no afterlife (with the exception of the memories of you that you leave behind) and that I should live this one to the fullest...so nothing new here.

But please go on, it will keep you busy while waiting for a 'possible' better life.

That is one hundred percent correct.  Faith needs to transcend fear.  Though I often fail miserably ultimately my desire is to please God.  The rules are simple.  Love God all all your heart and mind.  Treat your fellow man as yourself.  These are both very difficult to put into practice.  Only one living person managed to accomplish both perfectly and he was way overmodelled.
