Advice for next year’s elections:
« on: September 18, 2004, 11:29:06 AM »
First of all, nice job on holding these elections.  My only advice is minor; I think it would be a bit easier to manage and count votes for all candidates in one thread.

Example:
_________________________

For full time staff positions, please select two:
Candidate A
Candidate B
Candidate C
Candidate D

For auxiliary staff positions, please select three:
Candidate Z
Candidate Y
Candidate X
Candidate W
Candidate V
Candidate U

Please post all of your votes in one reply to this thread, and state your name in the game:

_____________________________ __

Example of a typical reply:
_____________________________

Full time staff:
Candidate A
Candidate D

Auxiliary staff:
Candidate Y
Candidate X
Candidate U

Game name: eskimo

I think it’s a bit easier to vote when you can see all of the candidates for one position in one list.

When it comes time to tally up the votes it would be a bit easier throw out someone’s votes (because they are not CT regs, or they voted too many times) in one post than to search through all 12 threads for their votes.

It would also make it less obvious who was in the lead or who are neck and neck.  People could certainly count em up, but it’s usually best to vote without an awareness of how others are voting.

Don't distinguish between auxiliary and full time...  just let us vote and "he/she with the most votes" gets first pick of full time verses aux...  I think swoop was put at a disadvantage by having him in two categories...

my two cents
