It doesn't escape me that if Bush gave even a hint, the slightest suspicion of even staying in the game tonight, the Bush supporters here would be going crazy.

What does it mean when the rabid Bush supporters here can't bring themselves to even make jokes about it?

It's enough.

Kerry killed the guy.

Call 911.

Well, I think its sure, Bush did not win. It may be a draw, but no one with two brain cells could claim a Bush win.

I am completely flabbeghasted at Bush's line "We won too fast."

That is just so ridiculous or oh so many levels. You can debate forever whether its enough to give Kerry the win - I dunno and I don't care. But it was a extraordinarily stupid statement.

Sorry Nash.  I think you're going to find Nov 3rd as disappointing as the CBS "Memo" conclusion.

But you guys do make decent beer.

sorry nash.  I support the guy but Am dissapointed.  BUT....anyone who say's Kerry OWNED him is snowed....they both did terrible.....neither one of them pulled ahead.

Actually, the only one that will better their campaign from this is in fact Kerry.  I'm not saying he did well but just his opponent did worse than expected.

You can't kill them until they are shooting at you.

Our forces blew through Iraq so fast that the guys that are causing problems now were still in bed asleep.

It is one of the problems of fighting guerilla style war. The enemy usually gets to fire first.

The Iraqis need to understand that in order to keep their new won freedoms is to help us identify these guys so we can waste them before they set up the ambushes.

I think Nash is starting to believe if you say something over and over it becomes the truth.

Sorry to wave a little reality in your face, but it doesn't work that way.

You saw the debate the way you wanted it to be, you see the winner as the way you wanted it to be.

Didn't work out that way though.  Neither scored a big hit, neither fumbled big.  More or less a draw, and a draw is not something Kerry can afford because he is losing in the polls. Anything less than a big victory in the debates is a loss for Kerry, and virtually everyone, including all the talking heads on tv say it was basically a draw.

And in this game, a draw goes to the poll leader, Bush.

>>The Iraqis need to understand that in order to keep their new won freedoms is to help us identify these guys so we can waste them before they set up the ambushes.<<

Do you know how complex that task will be? As much as the Iraqis may like democracy, the despise the West more. Hence the ridiculous statement "we won too fast." We haven't won anything and won't for the forseeable future. We will keep it under control like a prison and have just as much chance of leaving as prison guards leaving a prison thats formed of grievance committee. Oh, but add another little worm to the pot- IRAN. Salivatating over the weakened Iraq natural resources.
So we just have to make the Iraqi culture embrace the the West, train their military enough to defend themselves from the nuclear seeking Iranians, and then everything will be honky dorry- we can go home. If you think thats going to happen in your lifetime, you are mistaken. There's a reason Bush Sr. didn't go to Baghdad - THIS. Pandora's box - and we own it.

Bush didn't mess up, Kerry spoke well and spun his BS.

I cringed more than a few times as Kerry flat out lied or took crazy positions opposite of his actions during his entire carreer.

I don't see what Kerry really accomplished to be honest.

Kerry made statements and points that are easily shown to be complete BS.

Kerry said "help is on the way" for Americans in Iraq, yet voted not to give them 87 billion in help.

He said, knowing what he knows now he would not have gone into Iraq, yet he said himself just weeks ago, when asked directly if he would have gone into Iraq knowing what he knows now.....said he would have.

He claims to be consistant on Iraq????? Everyone knows that's a joke.

Kerry simply spoke well and thats all. Almost everthing he said was a joke or a lie.

Bush did not have his best night , that's for sure but he didn't lose even despite that.

Well after saying all that Nuke...

And in looking at what Bush needed to accomplish and what Kerry needed to accomplish - didn't Kerry win?

We're not talking about issues... we're talking about this debate.

Did the needle move?

I think it did.
