Kerry will lose if he doesn't start looking into the camera once in awhile.

The moderator doesn't choose the President, the voters do, and as Bush knows and Kerry doesn't is that you need to connect with the voters, they are the audience.

Nah.  I'd probably have to say it was a wash.  I don't think that debate moved any votes.

I only saw the last 15 minutes or so, from what I saw Bush was the weaker debater.
I also did not like his little smirks..

Prolly 15-20% of them undecided voters hinge on these debates.

That's huge.

I feel good about it. And hell, we got another 2 of these to go!

I think Bush did great.

Kerry kept attacking instead of actually answering the questions posed to him.

Bush not only replied to the questions but also put forth Kerry's biggest flaws which Kerry himself kept stumbling over and over during the debate.

Kerry's position was presented pretty much as his own opinion of himself and of Bush and his Presidency. Bush's position was presented with facts and presented Kerry for what he is backing his opinion of Kerry with facts about kerry.

I will admit Kerry is a far superior public speaker and Bush needs serious help in that dept.

But content wise, Bush did far better than Kerry, even if Bush seemed to be on the defensive most of the debate.
