God I can't believe how you guys get so wrapped up in semantics and lose sight of the big picture. LOL

They are potato peeling politicians, they are expected to lie.     Being a politician has not been a noble career for a very long time.  If you are making your decision on weather or not to vote for Bush because Cheny lied about meeting Edwards we are in trouble.  lolh.

It's the big issues that make the difference and not these stupid little issues used to cloud the major ones.

I did love how John Stewart busted Edwards for the whole Gay daughter thing.  Over and Over That was funny.

Daily show is great!  No doubt about it they are against Bush, but they have guys like McCain on et-al, so he is kinda fair lol.

Tonight is Bill O'Rielly, I can 't wait to see how Stewart handles him after O'Rielly said his demo is pot smoking slackers lolh.  How many Emmys  does O'Rielly have lolh.

Is that how you attempt to explain away his lie? He lied plain and simple in his attempt to one up Edwards during a debate before the American people..

Just because Jon Stewart has the ability to play humor on some of the world's most troubling situations, does not make it any less fact..

The question should be have YOU seen the show.

Jon Stewart does not even TRY to hide the fact he hates Bush nor does he represent the facts in whole or in the right context.

He is a Michael Moore who knows when to stop.

I enjoy watching his shows but I would never ever believe the FACTS he shows.

I think they are funny. The hypocrasy is dripping from most of the dogpilers here. Only one poster has attempted to talk rationally about it. All others dont wanna, they'd rather start slinging insults and poke jabs.. Too funny actually.. 8)

Having McCain on does not mean he is being fair. McCain leans to the left way to much to be a Republican IMHO.

Having O'Reilly on will be fun to watch but Jon knew Bill's comment was a joke and even said so but I'm sure he will have fun with it anyway.

Really? what has he EVER shown in a true context that you can discredit? Name one thing! Just one!

The Daily show does not ever blur  the line between comedy and factual news. I challange anyone to show me where Jon Stewart has reported something not factual or incorrectly..

In what part of my post did I address Cheney.  First, the Cheney comment about not meeting Edwards has been posted about before.  Second, using a comedy news show as your source of facts is, very simply, foolish.

LoL really? simply foolish?

So, are you saying the fact the daily show reported about Cheeny previously meeting Edwards is not true?

How could it be foolish if the fact is correct? You must be saying Cheeny did not lie?? Otherwise,  you statement is very foolish..

You know, you guys claiming that getting your news from the Daily show is abusured,  is equally absured.

The daily show puts a comedic spin on the news.  Intelligent people already know the spin all the other suppossedy credible news services have already put on it.

Just because they are a commedy centric news show does not mean that they do not do anything that is credible.
