What Staga posted isn't a comic.

I agree, it's neither a comic or funny. I would say it's bad taste as well but then most comics aren't very PC. I was meaning Rip's original comic and others from varying political views on this or any other subject.

Ahhhh.  Sorry.  I misunderstood.

I don't mind comics that aren't PC.  That's usually what makes them funny.   Even comments no in line with my political views can be funny.  Even if I don't find them funny, I usually don't find them insulting.

Staga's comment just crossed the line with me.  Obviously it didn't with others.  If he finds that funny, I believe it speaks volumes about his character.

I wonder if I should take Martlet out from my ignore list?

Naah, better keep him in there; this board looks much more sane now  :)

I don't know what's funnier, people that talk about putting people on ignore, or people that don't really have you on ignore and pretend you do.

I guess being right on about his character hit a sore spot with him.

Staga is attempting a diversionary tactic. The Oil for Food scandal will likely never be fully exposed nor is it likely any will be punished. They can blame themselves for killing the UN, maybe we should thank them.

heh sounds similar to Deniro doing Al Capone "You  got nothing" routine

seems conservative thought is spreading leftwards as its not just Fox anymore.
Spreading all the way to the CIA as well

MSNBC

The report issued Wednesday by Charles Duelfer, head of the Iraq Survey Group, said Saddam Hussein issued secret vouchers for the purchase of oil, which could then be resold at a profit, to an array of officials and political figures from various countries, mainly Russia,France  and China

CNN

The secret voucher program was dominated by Russian,French , and Chinese recipients, in that order, with Saddam spreading the wealth widely to prominent business men, politicians, foreign government ministries and political parties, the report said.

The report names  former French Interior Minister Charles Pasqua, Indonesian president Megawati Sukarnoputri, and the Russian radical political figure Vladimir Zhirinovsky as voucher recipients, for example, and other foreign governments range from Yemen to Namibia.

Like I said the last time.
I suppose Iraq kept managing to rebuild its radar and anti aircraft sites to modern standards by way of magic Genie

DREDIOCK I question the veracity of the document.

But if I admit it's veracity I still don't see how having individuals named in the document involve the whole French nation.

Do you see my point ?

btw Pasqua was and is an a**hole.

I'm sorry to my french friends, but the facts that are coming out look very bad. American companies were involved. There is no denying that either. But the governments that supporeted Iraq are the same governments that were profiting from the 'oil-for-food'program.
