A Gentlemans Bet for the Left
« Reply #15 on: October 13, 2004, 11:32:47 PM »
since I don't know any members of the Saudi royal family, and don't really spend time with anyone who has that kind of money (top 1% wealth wise), I don't know anyone who stands to benefit from him being re-elected.

BTW- I never said Kerry would win, and never read anyone else saying it.  I do remember saying Bush should lose.

if what should happen always happened I probably wouldn't even know who GW Bush was.

Why would they take a bet they know they are going to lose?

Sandman!!!

Do you realize what you have just done?

You have singlehandedly denied us of a solid 60 day non-stop whinefest. Oh, and the tears... No wait, the denial.... Or whatever it would have been, it would have been a spectacle. Now that's gone. Thanks. Thanks a lot.

:)

Nah, I don't think Sandman would have been whining the whole 60 days.

While I have my doubts that Kerry will win... I'll take a hit for the team just on the chance that Eagler will be silent for two months. ;)

Anyway... amend the bet to silent until January 1 and we can go with that. :)

After Eagler's performance on this board during the run up, he's looking for an excuse to escape for a few months if Kerry wins...and he calls other people chickens.  He's losing faith.

Yeah... I may have just sucked the fun out of reposting every single "landslide bush" message from Eagler.

I'm a tool.

I think it's totally understandable, he's invested so much emotionally into this election that he would probably need some time to recover from a let down.  And hanging out were a crapload of democrats ect are rejoicing and mocking really wouldn't help.  I just think he could have been a bit more genuine about and just said if Kerry wins he was going to take a break.

Who knows, but he probably won't see much rejoicing from me.

I can't wait to unplug.

But I'm not making any promises. :)
