What is up with HTC and the maps?
« on: October 15, 2004, 10:54:24 AM »
Didn't Kanttori submit his map for HTC to review one month ago?

Is there a problem with the terrain editor?

Haven't other players put together maps and submitted them as well?

I would appreciate an update on the current map status.  I'm sure others would as well.

The AHII TE has many problems bugs making it somewhat difficult to create maps....  But it's better then nothing.....  I'm not sure why any of the submitted maps have not been accepted yet...

Kantorri is reworking his FinRus map once again. The last time it was up the map lasted about 2 hours and that was when we subbed in the BoB for a Late ware VVS vs LW setup. From what I was told the map should be back into HTC for reapproval within a couple of weeks.

It is also taking time to get the terrain team up to speed on the TE and it should start churning them out soon. At least I hope it will be soon.

It was not HTC's or Skuzzy's fault that the map is not ready yet. The new Terrain Editor has many bugs and it has also very many new great features: some of them are working and some of them are not.

I missed (or actually I got wrong info) the map rooms from the terrain. Somebody told me that the new towns (it's now one big object) are containing the map rooms. That was wrong info and I must now assign about 70 map rooms to all the FinRus' towns.

...and repair couple of more errors from it. Actually Mr HiTech has told couple of weeks ago that the new "bug free" Terrain Editor version is coming soon out. I think very many terrain builder is waiting of it and don't do anything now.

However I try to make those FinRus repairs soon. Actually me and Camo are working now with the totally new 1:1 scale FINLAND terrain and it takes very much of my time now...

After the snow comes here in Finland I have more free evenings make maps. Now I must repair my house and make the last overhaul to it before winter... ;)

Try to be patient, fellas, the sun is shining very soon in the CT arena! :D

Towns do have maprooms as do v-fields and ports, If you add another maproom your gonna have 2 per field.

That is good and simply instruction, Zmeg, now I understand you!

I have the same opinion, because I checked towns after adding the maprooms and I saw there two of them!

In the other hand Skuzzy said to me that I must add maprooms but not towers...

I have now added maprooms to every town and V-field in FinRus and repaired couple of spawn poin errors. FinRus update is now ready, but I don't submit it before this problem is clear! It is simple to me remove all the "doubling" maprooms...

I am so tired... so tired... can anybody help me...? :D
