So, I am undecided, I want to press charges, and I want to not be intimidated, but I also would rather not have him mess with my fiancee if he were to find out where I live.

This really pisses me off...

can't the state press charges if it is a fellony?

You have many happy days ahead of you.  As your life goes on this event and this nut will become less and less important.  Don't let him impact your life anymore.

If the cops are afraid for you, take it seriously.  He'll get in plenty of trouble for the drugs.

It's not fair, and you have the right to be pi$$ed and press charges.  Then again, you or your fiancee getting murdered wouldn't be very fair either.

Stay away from crazy people.

Good luck,

eskimo

Do they have "three strikes" in CO?  Maybe you can put this scumbag away for a long time.

I was summoned for jury duty in an assult case a few weks ago and I'll tell you those felonies start adding up real quck when bones are broken, cop's noses bloodied and guns drawn..

Meth is great too, I can tell from personal experience that it ruins lives real good. So three strikes or not this fella is going away for a long time if he allready has a significant record.

See ya!

:rofl

So best keep away Bodhi..

2nd what eskimo said

stay away from crazy ppl every chance you get

you don't need a meth racist Swager-type or one of his buddies to have to look over your shoulder for the rest of your life

take it as doing your civil duty, you got a busted jaw but ya got a meth user/dealer off the streets in the process :)

Bodhi, let the charges drop if it's a hassle for you.
Getting his home address, assuming he isn't homelss, should be easy.  Make a house call.... I have always found that very satisfying.

umm even if you do drop the charges, you think this guy isnt still going to blame you?  Him hitting you is the reason he got caught with meth.  Sniper the guy, quick like.

The problem with not pressing charges is this guy will continue to get away with this type of behaviour.

If he goes to court on the drugs only his lawyer will claim it's an unlawful detention and search, he will claim that the cops made up the whole assault story in order to violate his clients rights.... If your not there to testify to what happened then there is a good chance he will be "walking".

It's a tough choice to make, and of course yours to make, but not pressing charges will not prevent this guy from being pissed off at you for him losing his meth.
