Here is the real deal with this girl, most of which I found out this afternoon:

She is actually married to a guy whom she married in order to get out of Romania.  He is here on a work permit.  I feel really sorry for her...she is apparently beginning to be physically abused by him and is not a happy girl at present.

She opened up to my wife so much about her present situation that I think she has no friends and is desparately in need of someone to talk to.  She even showed some bruises on her leg to my brother-in-law when he came upstairs to try and calm the baby down that her scum bag husband was responsible for.  The guy allows her to have only $20 on her possession at any time and won't let her venture out so that she has no social life at all.

If the situation deteriorates any more I think we will "have" to get involved even if she doesn't work for us.

As to the picture posted, I only saw her totally un-made-up, no makeup and in a tee shirt and jeans.  So the face in that pic is not fair to compare with this girl.  The body though is pretty close, although I think the girl I saw has a larger chest.

Wow Curval, yer story kinda mirrors something that happened last week.

Last year, my brother hired a guy who came over here from Romania. He was married with a daughter. The idea was, he'd work, get established, and save up enough money to bring them over.

Turns out, he was a big time wife beater. And while he was saving up to bring his family over, he was having an affair with some chick here, and got her pregnant.

So the family arrives, and the pregnant chick (now a mother) demands child support. He accepts that. But his wife has had it, and says that if he pays the support, she will divorce him.

2 hours after meeting with a lawyer, the guy blows his brains out.

Now, it's kind of all unrelated in some way, but all three people's positions are kind of understandable. It's hard to find someone wholly at fault.

Now I know I didn't really tie in the spousal abuse angle very well, but in the end, what I was left with was an impression that the abuse was almost an accepted thing. Kinda like, cultural.

In a way, it doesn't suprise me... but whatever... adds context to yer Nanny's story.

It’s not like you see in the movies…. I’m sure you would be all right.

However, if there are problems… May I suggest using a little pool cue chalk over the eyes and some cherry Kool-aid powder on the lips to help snare a big man to take care of you.
My password at work had to contain exactly 8 characters… I chose Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
