Everyone here is so sure that I’m going to get arrested. I don’t think I will. Whoever ends up with bloody hands I’m not all that sure will head to the law.
I think “why were your hands on the sign in the first place” would be a good question.
I know that there will be some liability attached but like I said, I don’t think it will end up with the law. So he/she wants to make a fuss? Bring it, most of the Kerry supporters that I’ve met can be beaten down by a 10 year old girl. Hell most can’t even make a decent verbal argument for the guy other than “I hate Bush”. Wow, informed decision.
As for not thinking things through; I’ve done a very good job at deciding where and how to mount the blades. They’re not just placed anywhere but in the best locations for their possible use. They could get lucky, but with my design, I doubt it, unless a lot of care is taken.
Since the signs I have are not actual yard signs I’m placing it on a steel “for rent” sign. I have to use a sledge to drive the legs into the ground. That in it self should be pretty good but I think the resistance factor will cause more damage when pulled on in the wrong places. I’ll also have to tape the sign to the “for rent” placard. I have the right tape so it doesn’t look tacky with the blades at just the right points for someone who might take the time to peal it off. Ouch, watch out for those finger nails, a manicure is just waiting for ya
.
I do have a family and although the wife isn’t too keen on the idea I’m going ahead anyway. I doubt strongly that whoever ends up with stitches is going to do much but rethink taking signs.
Claymores aren’t an option due to Missouri law. They actually have to be in the house before you can kill them. With the baby crawling and having to redo the paint job, it’s just not worth the extra work. If I was in Texas; maybe, but the state laws here are a bit different. Good idea though!
As for putting them in the window or attached to a tree… I shouldn’t have to therefore I’m not. It’s the principle of the thing.
