First of all, I love playing this game. I love my squad.
That being said, lets get to the issues. CTDs. It is well known that for every one complaint, there are 10 other peope who say nothing. There are many who do not even post to the message board. There are many posts from people who are having the same trouble I am.
First the game would just crash to desktop. No windows error messages of any kind. After installing SP2 to XP Pro, now at least I get a windows error message offering to report the problem to Microsoft.
It is not my connection, it is not my hardware. It is not my drivers. I have gone as far as to format my HDD and start from scratch.
This ongoing problem occurs with people using both AMD and Pentium platforms.
So far I have only corresponded with Skuzzy via e-mail about this.
Perhaps now more people who are having this problem will post.
Perhaps you guys could even send out e-mails to all the members to see if it happens to them.
Lastly, It seems that the game should be made to work with different hardware, and not that people should only be able to use certain hardware to avoid these crashes.
I have already sent Skuzzy my DXdiag and the error message.
