Fox news predicting Bush 269 Kerry 211, giving the states they have predicted, if kerry wins the rest outstanding there will be a tie, and a house vote to decide.

im still awake, im still nervous, and im still chain smoking, drinking beers, and watching until this is decided LOL
I don't know what to put here yet.

Some networks hold off some of the numbers so it will seem closer than it really is.

They also hold off calling state winners even though the #s show a clear winner.

I'll let you figure out why.

Just realize that it's mostly conjecture. The news organizations call the races before the votes are all in to be the first one to report the winner.

Of course, a 5+ point lead after 95% of precincts have reported gives you a pretty good idea of whats going to happen.

I saw California declared for Kerry with only 33% of the precincts reporting in.

I think they should have to wait until it is mathematically impossible for one candidate to win before declaring a winner in any state.

No doubt Arnold's influence has swayed some of the vote, but It's still a Democratic stronghold.
