Author Topic: GV Spawn Delay (Read 725 times)

Just curious as to the accurate time of the Spawn Delay for GVs - 2 Seconds / 3 Seconds or is it random? I know network lag effects this. From my experience camping at the 6 o'clock postion most of the time the enemy (prey) can barely get their turret to 90 degrees before they get whacked. But there will always be that time when they shoot you when you are at the 6 o'clock position and you don't even see them. I'm not crying here fellas. When I Spawn Camp I go there expecting this or to be bombed eventually. I'm just trying to get some accurate data regarding this delay time for the Grave Diggers new Zpawn Kampf Page.

And yes I do CAMP (Aggressive Offensive Suppression), I will continue to CAMP, I am a repeat CAMPER! Reminds me of that carnival game "Whack a Mole."

Because for me its a load of fun. First - its a challenge to fight your way to the Spawn Point. Secondly - once you are entrenched there and the community gathering begins - I enjoy the joke telling and story telling (Spawn Camping is a social event as well as a violent one - kind of like Football). Third - Once your number is up it now becomes a challenge to safely land - very difficult when pissed off victims are coming back at you in bombers or the camp has been busted. So - to sum it up Spawn Camping is Challenging, Encourages Social Gathering, Encourages Teamwork, and gives me the personal satisfaction almost equivalent to sticking fire crackers in frogs mouths and blowing them up when I was a kid.

Yes he did - GETSOME is a fine tutor in the deadly art of Camping. He is truly a Varsity Club Member in that arena as well as a World Class Grand Champion Camper.

i cant even count as high as to say how many times i was camping and got killed by an invisable tank. would be better if they dont spawn until they are able to be seen by all.

"hey what you shooting at?" "it was a tank and i killed it" "funny i didnt see anything spawn"

Spawn camping is like sitting in a bar and drinking the noobs under the table... sooner or later you will end up on the floor yourself, but the next week you are right back in the game

Don't diss the campers.... go get em or stay away!

Saw this the other a couple of nights ago.. me and 2-3 others were sittin around the spawn, and I'd see the 3 of them shoot and then a fireball, but never saw the tank. Sometimes I'd see the tank first and shoot, but wouldn't see them shoot, so I guess I was seeing it before they did. It's weird sometimes.

its net lag even if u have a good connection and if they dont it might take awhile to see them but thats y me and GETSOME camp in numbers if one of us dont see him the other two or three will. (BTW i heard GETSOME got banned is this true?)

EDIT: and for ppl talkin watermelon bout ppl sqawn campin we pay our $15 if we wanna spawn camp we will do so and yea when u piss some1 off and they come back in bombers and try to kill u it is fun.

point is when the spawn is camped 95% of the player base wont bother coming which means no more fun for you..... Where as if you hid further away from the spawn they would normaly keep coming to try and get you. Theres no point upping if you cant up... Same as the whole vulch whine you see....

It is not do to net lag, nor is a fixed amout of time, It is do to a method the server uses in promoting people from targets not of mutch interest to targets of intrest.
