Heard awhile ago that a spray cleaner ya can get from Radio Shack is the best for cleaning JS pots. What it is exactly?

Some kind of contact cleaner?

I heard that CRC or WD40 works as well.
Havent tried it myself.

Heard WD40 will collect dust. That is why I haven't tried that yet.

Does dust get inside the JS. I take my apart and never see any dust!

Swager, believe me on this one...the pot itself will wear out before the dust has enuff time to collect to ever affect the pot...on my CH stick, theres a small opening that you spray in the WD40 (or whatever) and once installed the chances of dust collecting are very very minimal, unless I lived in a barn.

By the way, spraying them is only a temp fix for bad pots, if your pots are going goofy, its best to get new ones, spray them first, then install them, I just did this and BOY! what a difference!!!

I wouldn't spray any WD-40 on my JS pots. It could cause a short. The contact/tuner cleaner you get at Radio Shack works real good for me. You spray it in the pot then move it around a bit to help remove any coating on the contacts. It is not a cure all nor will it take the place of a new pot, but it seems to be a good stop gap measure.
