>>interesting math lesson there tweety... You seem to be saying that whites and blacks commit crimes at the same rate and that the split in prisons is what? 50/50? that would be the only way that your (well... the lefty site you worship) would be correct.

Like a fish on a string. Well here you go Laz, perhaps this will present a clearer picture for you...
from :
http://www.mindfully.org/Reform/2004/Prison-Exonerations-Gross19apr04.htm"At of the end of 2002, 35% of state prisoners serving sentences for murder were white, 48% were black and 17% were Hispanic.48 The proportions of exonerations in murder cases are very similar: 34% whites, 50% Blacks and 15% Hispanics.
***For rape, however, the story is different. A majority of rape prisoners in 2002 were white, 58% ; only 29% were black; and 13% were Hispanic.49 But for rape exonerations the proportions are reversed: almost two thirds of the defendants are black, 65%; only 27% are white; and 8% are Hispanic. See Table 5.
Why are blacks so greatly over-represented among those defendants who were falsely convicted of rape and then exonerated, mostly by DNA? The key is probably the race of the victims. We know the race of the victim for 75% of the 69 rape exonerations with black defendants, and in 75% of those cases the victim was white. (We see a similar pattern, on a smaller scale for Hispanic exonerees: we know the race of the victim for 7 of the 8 who were falsely convicted of rape, and in 4 of those cases the victim was white.) Most women who are raped are victimized by members of their own racial or ethnic groups. Inter-racial rape is uncommon, and rapes of white women by black men in particular account for well under 10% of all rapes.50 But among rape exonerations for which we know the race of both parties, almost exactly half (39/79) involve a black man who was falsely convicted of raping a white woman.****[emphasis mine]"
Chew on those stats and get back to me, Laz. I think you'll find the math in order.
