I get a surprising number of complaints, in H2H, about having outside views off.

There are a few things offered to the newbie pilot to help him adjust to the game. Auto take off, combat trim, so forth. Most of these will do no serious harm as you make the transition to playing at FR. With the exception of outside views. This one will make an easy target out of you. For the simple reason, it does not exist in the main arena. You never learn the right way to check your 6. More importantly you don't get into the habit of checking.

Outside views are a great training tool. For example, you can use them reviewing a film. You can see where your ammo was really going, when you thought you should be hitting that plane in front of you. That sort of thing. But if you get dependent on them in combat. Well, the boys in the Main are licking there chops just thinking about it.

Nice heads-up easymo, the use of outside views can become a crutch for a newbie. They need to learn true SA if they plan on flying the MA.
