Groundwar is pretty good; aircrafts and flightmodel are bit arcadish and several aircrafts perform much better than they should but overall it's ok.

Just find a good squad, lonewolfs tend to die fast and frustrate.

Its a fun game, but you need patience to really enjoy it.  I found myself at times sitting in one spot a few hours waiting for an upcoming attack, but it never came.  Then there were the times when I spawned right out of a depot and there were EI everywhere.

It all depends on what you enjoy.  Do the two week trial and see if it fits you.

Groundwar is good, airwar leaves a lot to be desired.

The are lots of bugs, a lot to learn now, if you get in a Squad they'll help you learn faster, get you on Teamspeak (theres no ingame Voice comms), get your around the oddities, and you'll be in on the main action having a load of fun.

Be warned, make sure your PC is up to it, I have an XP2800, GF5700FX, 1Gb of RAM, anything less would be painful. The RAM is the important part.

Hmmm can't speak for the Allied side, but from what I've seen on the axis side people are always trying to help newbies to get them signed up. In fact I'd say that they are more friendly than here (not saying AH is bad, its the WW2OL squads seem more pro-active).

WW2OL is great. Groundwar is extremely fun and the sight of exploding panzers as they try and find your hidden M1AT is a GREAT feeling! :D :D

As of right now I can't play it though, CTD's every 5 mins b/c of new patch :(   Only complaint right now. SHould be fixed with next patch. Day or two away.

New stuff from CRS = new bugs

New bugs from CRS @ Christmas = at least 4 weeks of new bugs.

Most likely FW190A4, Spit IX, and P-38 (some Frog variant).

We should also see the completed P-IV-G, Stug IIIG, Sherman, and Crusader III operational in game by then.

Plus there will be major changes towards their new "Brigade Spawning" goal.

Any other goodies - I'm not sure.
