Help installing custom gunsites

Help the computer challanged.

I like some of Gadgets sites, I copy and then paste them to the settings folder and they are bmp files but when i restart AH, the defalt site is all I can get. What am I doing wrong.

Gunsights can be edited by editing the default.bmp image and saving
it to the appropriate filename.  

Gunsights can be created for specific planes.  They should be named as follows:

p51d.bmp  
la5fn.bmp
spit9.bmp
109g10.bmp

If a gunsight is not found for a specific plane, it will use the
default.bmp file instead.

Several players have contributed gunsights that are named after them.
To use one of these files, copy it to the correct name of the plane
that you want it used in or copy it to the default.bmp file.

This text is in sights folder and you should put those new gun-sights in that same folder.

Sounds like the only thing you did wrong was put them in the wrong folder in Aces High.  Stick them in the "sights" folder, not the "settings" folder.

Thanks for the replys, I was putting them in the wrong folder.  Works great now.
