Skuzzy wierd connect!
« on: December 09, 2004, 08:34:45 AM »
Some have CONNECTION issues.

Ping is right at 240 but gettin severe packet loss as high as 50% through 3 or 4 hops in the route sometimes.

Savvis.net

But lately at odd times the net seems to go wild.

Example.  I'm flyin in the MA and I dive in and really light up a con.

Sometimes the con just blows up or many parts fall off, BUT other times same amount of hits and NOTHING or very little damage!   WORSE sometime the con warps or jumps soon as I fire.  Or looks like the con has NO shot, his nose is pointed 20 to 40 degrees off me and BANG I'm HIT!  No tracers until I'm HIT, then all around me tracers!

After a few minutes to maybe 1/2 hour of this I log and check connect with pingplotter and about 1/2 the time the hops are jumping and changing all over the place!  Packet loss is wildly fluctuationg and gets as high as 100%

So I tend to extend allot because I can NOT trust what I see.

This started about 3 to 4 patches ago for me.  Been going on for maybe a month now.

It's been said we have three brains, one cobbled on top of the next. The stem is first, the reptilian brain; then the mammalian cerebellum; finally the over developed cerebral cortex.  They don't work together in awfully good harmony - hence ax murders, mobs, and socialism.
