Shore Battery and CV guns
« on: December 21, 2004, 02:33:15 AM »
I, along with several others, have noticed that the shore battery and cv guns (in land mode) are not centered on the gunsight. I have tried to center it by using my arrow keys but its impossible to center it. no matter what, for me anyways, the arrow keys either to far left or to far right. I have tried everything I know and have talked to several people on suggestions to remedy this situation but nothing has worked which has me convinced that it has to be a bug. Would welcome any HELPFULL hints to resolve this issue. please feel free to E mail me at nosnags21@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for responding. I understand what your saying about the movement of the ship and account for that when i shoot. The point i was trying to express was that the shells are not in alignment with cross hairs. I consider myself one of the better gunners and up until a few weeks ago, I was always very accurate. In the past when in "land mode" ( W key) when i clicked on my target area and zoomed in to see how the shells were landing, they were always within my target area. Now, there way off to the right. I have attempted to re-center the cross hairs to the shells but each tap of the arrow keys moves it to far one way or the other. They need to look into adjusting that as each segment the arrow key moves the cross air is to much. (ex: tapping the key now makes x hair move 1". needs to be more like a 1/4" for each time you hit the arrow key) That make sense? lol

Thanks again for your input and time.

Happy Holidays to you and your family Mr truekill

This is what I do, I zoom in to see were shells are hitting
Then place mouse cursor over spot then adjust guns angles, the only problem I have now is not seeing the shells landing a lot, either vid card not good enuff, or am too far out, I miss seeing the shell trajectory tracks u use to see in AH 1, if they are still there, then I am not seeing them, like i said could be a low vid card problem

Good ideas guys only only one problem with using mouse cursor and zooming in. With this new haze in the game, you cant see jack unless your approx 13 to 14 k from the base. If your talking about replacing the gunsight with cursor, going to be a little difficult to click on map to target if your in "land mode" (W key) As I stated before, up until a few weeks ago, I never had a problem shelling a base or town and accuracy and percentage of hits was extremely high. This is why im convinced its a bug, that and hearing other people complain about this as well. Again, thank you very much for your input and replying to my dilema. Carry on and good hunting gentlemen.

Try hitting the Home key. You might have moved the view and saved it by mistake. Home will take you to the default view.
