Battle of Kasserine Frame 1 Results
« on: January 09, 2005, 12:09:51 AM »
Thanks to APDrone who did the scores and all the back work I can post them tonight.

Looks like a solid Axis win. Wish I had been there to enjoy it. :D
Frame 2 will put the Axis on the defensive with much the same kind of targets the Allies had to defend in Frame 1.

Allies:
52 single engine Axis A/C lost 520 points
15 multi engine Axis A/C lost 225 points
1/1 target destroyed 200 points
Total 945 points

Axis:
Allies lost 95 Aircraft of all types. 950 points
4/4 targets destroyed 800 points.
Total 1750 points

Congratulations to JB73 of the III/Jabostaffel Luftwaffe ES Squad for his “ace” status in Frame 1 by shooting down 6 aircraft.

APDrone removed 11 Axis aircraft from the 'destroyed' list due to being shot down by 4 pilots after they had lost their first life in a figher.

Other scoring notes: At the beginning of the event, the CM had failed to move the CVs to the requested location. Several pilots crashed while CVs were being moved. These losses were not counted.

Numbers
Remember gents squads may have up to 2 under or 2 over what they committed to. If you have too many show up then they can fly with another squad or gun for someone. This rule is enforced to keep the frames balanced so please keep that in mind. Any squads who chronically have high or low numbers will be warned and then removed if it continues.

Squads Over their commitment
412th FS 4-6 (10) = 2 over
Bird of Prey 11-15 (18) = 1 over
Sick Puppies 4-6 (9) = 1 over
332nd Flying Mongrels 7-10 (13) = 1 over
68th Lighting Lancers 21-25 (28) = 1 over
FATE 7-10 (13) = 1 over

Squads Under their commitment
Dirty Dozen 4-6 (no-show) ? Anyone know about them?

Squads within their range :)
The Damned 4-6 (8)
56th Fighter Group 7-10 (7)
Rouge Squadron 4-6 (4)
VMF 101 16-20 (18)
325th Checkertails 4-6 (7)
Arabian Knights 11-15 (16)
Airmageddon 4-6 (8)
Gruppe Outlaws 4-6
U-Knighted States Squad 4-6 pilots (6)
U.S.M.C 11-15 (13)
Shillelagh 4-6 (3)
Grave Diggers 4-6 (4)
Most Wanted 4-6 (4)
Marine Air Wing 7-10 (9)
III/Jabostaffel 7-10 (8)
~C-Hawks~ 7-10 pilots (10)

Finally a reminder that this is a “one life event”. There are exceptions to this and in this current Squad Ops it is the Ju-87 pilots. No one else should have a 2nd life. BBQBOB, Goatboy, HugeHead, Woozy you all should have had only one life.

Orders to the Frame 2 Frame C.O.’s will go out Sunday.

As always any questions, concerns, or errors feel free to post or contact me.

I'll vouch for damname.

He told me he had too many and I said he could be a gunner or ride along.

Thanks for being on top of things, Damnname.

No that was perfect damnname. I corrected the post above. I can't tell if anyone was a ride along unless I look at every single pilot and their logs. You did things just right and can always ride along or gun for someone if you want. When that happens it will show that you had too many, but just post as you did and then I will or the Admin CM will correct your numbers.

Hats off to you for being on top of things. :)

Sorry for the re-ups, not to make any excuses but this was our first squad op and we were just buzzed to be in the event. I will make it a point to read then relate the rules to the squad.
Once again we had a blast and look foward to the next one.
Thanks,
BBQ Bob

I just checked the logs, and I noticed that we did not use any 190A5's in frame 1.  Not sure why the squad I assigned these to did not use them.  Either they were not available at the field, or there was a misunderstanding of some kind.  The good news is, we still have up to 12 190A5's for use next frame.  This is the reason we only fielded 4 different aircraft types instead of 5.  Is this a problem Daddog?

I'll inform Midnight, and 412th will change there pilot numbers.

6 to 8 is probably better Or even 8 to 10.
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Choices are:
4-6
7-10
11-15 ... etc.

Squads are stuck with the current numbers. Any who did not update should have prior to the event. Unless I am mistaken the 412th did send me a side request and numbers. The most the 412th can have for Frames 2 and 3 is 8 max. Each squad can go 2 under or 2 over what they commited to.

Not any fun but sometimes guys have to sit it out or fly with a squad that has lower numbers than their own.

I am familiar with the rules of going over or not maintaining numbers.

We'll just have to wait till kasserine is over, Thats what I was unclear about.

Thanks.
